Oh, I made it.
― Bassy, “Just Tripped

Bassy is a female contestant in ONE. She was one of the Hidden Objects who debuted in "Just Tripped" who came from a different universe than the first batch of contestants.

She is voiced by Fish.

Appearance[]

Bassy is a orangy-brown double bass. The f-holes on her design forms into eyes when she unfolds her limbs.

Personality[]

Bassy does not get much screen time in the series, so not much is known about her personality. She is usually quiet and neutral, but willingly socializes with other contestants and easily gives comfort to those who need it.

"Just Tripped"[]

Bassy is the third contestant of the second batch to be teleported over in her inanimate form. Along with all the other newbies, she then reveals her animate form, much to the shock of the original six.

Magazine is later seen asking how Bassy did that "limb thing", referring to her ability to revert into an inanimate state. Bassy believes this is common knowledge, though Magazine is less certain. Bassy then provides a demonstration, leaving Magazine perplexed.

During the montage, prior to teleportation, a human, who we later learn is named Jess, had been playing Bassy before she vanished right from her arms.

Bassy doesn't react much to her new name. She's then the last to make it to the top of a pole, keeping herself from elimination.

"Screwball"[]

Texty's first appearence

Bassy startled at Texty abruptly joining the game.

Bassy is seen standing around when Airy starts bringing in the third batch of contestants, looking faintly confused when he mentions Atom. Just after, she's startled when Texty is teleported in directly beside her.

Bassy's later seen with Tray and Contact Lens, all of which talk about how they're homesick. She forms a team with the two along with Scenty, agreeing to lose each challenge so they can go home.

She's startled when Stone sneaks over and grabs Contact Lens, bringing them to the trees and tossing them back over to their team.

"Walls"[]

When the challenge begins, Bassy is seen watching Tray break a pencil and Scenty rip the sticky notes.

She is then seen sitting with her team while Scenty teaches them yoga. She seems to be confused if she's doing Scenty's intstructions right to which Scenty confirms she is.

When Scenty snaps at Airy for putting Backpack's team up for elimination instead of her's, Bassy appears to be surprised.

"Rhetorical Molds"[]

When Scenty walks back to her team after previously arguing with Airy, Bassy is seen looking slightly concerned and sad. She tells Scenty that it's okay for her to be shouting at Airy.

She is then seen sitting with her teammates, refusing to do the challenge. Airy announces that since both Team A and B won't do the challenge, both teams will be up for elimination. Bassy is seen with a wide smile on her face while Scenty is happy to finally be put up for elimination.

"La Salle D'attente"[]

Episode 6 elimination

Bassy sitting with the other contestants in anticipation for the elimination.

Bassy is seen talking to her teammates. She tells her teammates that she hopes that her human, Jess, is doing alright. Contact Lens asks her if that's her human which Bassy replies with a yes and tells them that she takes her to band practice for school. Tray perks up and asks Bassy what school her human takes her to. Bassy responds with a school that most likely Tray isn't familiar with. Scenty tells Bassy that her human will be happy to see her once she get's back home.

When Scenty is asked what she looks forward to get back to and replies with that her family and friends are mostly likely worried about her, Bassy tells her that they'll be happy to see her when she gets back and Tray agrees.

Airy teleports Teams A and B to the area where contestants get eliminated. Bassy smiles and wishes Scenty good luck, but then frowns when Texty is eliminated instead of Scenty.

"Starting Over"[]

Bassy agrees to protest yet again with her team. She talks with Tray for a little, but her speech is indistinguishable because it's muffled as Scenty focuses on Backpack. Later, she is seen doing yoga with her team, but pauses and waits for instructions as Scenty again is focused and worried about Backpack.

"The Plug Dream"[]

Bassy is seen when Circle goes to get Whippy Creamy out of the shed. She is laying down close to the shed, in an inanimate state.

Later, Subway Seat mentions her while having a conversation with Atom. Subway Seat confirms that she is actually in her inanimate form and hasn't come out of her inanimate form ever since Airy was gone, noting that tasks (such as getting the stakes out of the ground to be used as wood) have been hard without her.

"Batch Two"[]

Bassy isn't seen in the episode outside of an image, but was confirmed to be eliminated sometime after the events of "Scatterbrain" as Liam and Bryce were looking through the inanimate contestants profiles. She was eliminated right after Liam, making her rank 12th, and has most likely returned to Jess' room.

"Bottle Episode"[]

Amelia says "She was basically catatonic up until she was eliminated. Who's to say it was [...]", referring to Bassy due to process of elimination, the fact that Bassy is the only female competitor to be eliminated after Airy reappeared (so far), and her being in her inanimate form in ONE 8 (with a comment that she hadn't come out of it in months).

"ONE Investigations: Owen Thompson"[]

She is mentioned by Taylor to Ava, saying "I told you about the bass, right?", following with "Normal people don't just- RETRACT their limbs like that!"
